He threw more than his life out that window

             Back so many years ago

What about those could've/should've been born to him

He was smarter than most of the guys we hung with

            Maybe than all of them

He was sure as hell smarter than me

But he kept buying airplane models

And never fitting the pieces together

Just sniffing the glue long enough

             I guess

Will make even the smartest of guys think he can fly
